Gerald Ford U.S. Statehood Nebraska Quarter-Dollar
Commemorating the 38th
President of the United States
This colorized State Quarter was issued in 2006 to honor
Gerald Ford’s home state of Nebraska.
It was struck by the United States Mint under an Act of Congress, as part of
the 50 State Quarters Program, and is official legal tender of the United
States. It was then colorized by the Merrick
Mint as a unique tribute to Gerald Ford. Few presidents had ever been asked to
achieve so much in so little time against such great adversity. Gerald Ford brought credibility to the
presidency in the wake of Watergate, Vietnam,
and President Nixon's resignation. To help preserve the coins for future
enjoyment, each coin is protected in a clear air-tight capsule in a deluxe felt
presentation case with a Certificate of Authenticity.
